Make a QR Code With Your Logo

A QR code with a logo can look more consistent with your poster, packaging or brand. The important part is maintaining enough readable QR modules so phones can still scan it.

Add your logo safely

  1. Open QR Studio and choose Website or another QR type. Enter the destination details.
  2. In Customize Your QR Code, open the Logo tab and upload a PNG, JPG or WebP logo up to 2 MB.
  3. Keep High (H) error correction selected when using a center logo.
  4. Avoid oversized graphics covering the three large corner markers or too many modules.

Choose a printable design

  1. Use dark code modules against a light background. QR Studio flags combinations with poor contrast.
  2. Select a pattern, eye style and optional frame. Avoid relying on color alone to convey meaning.
  3. Run Check QR readability when available and scan an exported file with an actual phone.
  4. Download SVG for scalable print layouts, or PNG/PDF for other workflows.

Important things to know

Successful automatic decoding of a preview does not guarantee a physical printed code will scan; print and test at your actual final size and material.

Some decorative styles and gradients are harder to read on reflective paper, moving screens or poor lighting.

Uploading a logo locally does not make the logo itself a publicly hosted image; it is embedded in your exported design.

Frequently asked questions

Is adding a logo free?

Yes. QR Studio provides logo placement and QR customization without requiring a paid account.

Why is error correction important?

QR error correction helps a scanner recover information when part of the pattern is blocked or damaged, but it does not guarantee every logo design will scan.

Which file type should I print?

SVG and PDF are useful for scalable or print-oriented workflows. Always verify the generated artwork after placing it in your design.
